Founded in 2006, Christy Foran Design, Inc. (CFD) is a full-service interior design firm specializing in innovative solutions that reveal the personality and vision of our clients. With a focus on classic and contemporary residential spaces, CFD transforms our clients’ homes into functional and comfortable environments that are uniquely their own. We offer full-scale detailed designs for new construction, large renovations, vacation homes and any/all residential interior design needs.

From Hyde Park to Highland Park, IL, Lake Tahoe to Vermont, CFD has designed hundreds of custom homes, ranging from ground-up new construction to kitchen/bath renovations to furniture & fabric refreshes. Christy’s extensive experience complements her energetic personality and unabating creativity. For more than 20 years, CFD has seamlessly guided clients from a simple vision to a fully realized home, and always at a pace that is comfortable and realistic. Most importantly, we are strategically aligned with an elite team of proven, honest, and experienced vendors and tradespeople that take pride in, and always stand behind the finished product.

NITTY GRITTY…
Christy Foran received her BA from Colorado College and later continued her education at Harrington College of Design where she graduated with honors. She began her design career at the renowned Holly Hunt Chicago showroom over 20 years ago. From there she learned and trained with a seasoned designer in Winnetka, IL before launching CFD in 2006 and has never looked back. Christy currently resides in Evanston, IL with her husband and four sons. She is the proud mom of basketball obsessed, sports addicts and can be found most weekends cheering them on in gyms across Illinois. Her household of boys keeps her grounded in life and in creating livable spaces for her clients. She is admittedly a terrible baker and color coordinates her closet. Her personal obsessions are sunsets, the beach, a well-made bed, anything salty, worn jeans and puffy sleeves. And of course, her boys and her business. Christy’s relatable approach and tireless work ethic will keep you coming back for more.
